Popularly known as Black Pagoda and Konark, Sun temple is the prime temple that allures tourists from all over the world. Dedicated to God Sun, this temple is shaped like a giant chariot. Famous for its unmatched stone carving, the temple is a world heritage site. Beautifully carved images of God Sun, 24 wheels and horses are the main attractions of the temple. Melakkadambur Shiva temple is another temple of Konark that was built during the age of Chola. There is another temple which is dedicated to Goddess Ramachandi.

Chandrabhaga Sea Beach is a must visit attraction. Apart from breathtaking views, the beach is famous for the richness in marine resources, natural deer park and an ancient Matha. Kuruma, Pipili and Kakatpur are some other attractions of the Konark.

To enjoy the trip in the perfect way, October to March is considered as the best time. The city enjoys a mild atmosphere in between these months.
